We Build Communication Bots to Amplify Happiness
One day, Valerie Alexander was having coffee with her friend, David, when David started telling her how much his husband, Alec, loved holding hands. David had no problem holding hands with Alec, it just never occurred to him to do it.
This hurt Alec’s feelings.
David wished he could do something about that.
So Valerie grabbed David’s phone and programmed it to send him weekly reminders to “Hold hands with Alec!”
And it worked!
David started holding hands with Alec.
Alec felt happy and loved.
And Valerie realized that this was all most couples needed — a gentle reminder of what the person they love loves, a nudge to do it, and a platform that makes it as easy as possible to make that person happy.
That’s when Valerie drew up the plans for the Happy Couples Bot.
Human beings are all different.
We don’t think the same. We don’t act the same. We come from different backgrounds. We process information differently.
Then we form relationships. We pair off into couples, we create families, we run companies and organizations with diverse workforces and populations.
And since we’re only human, we don’t always perfectly express our wants and needs in these relationships, nor remember what others have told us they want and need, if they’ve told us anything at all.
We make the mistake of following The Golden Rule: “Treat others as you want to be treated.”
This is a disaster to relationships.
Do not treat others as you want to be treated.
Treat them as they want to be treated.
If you could only figure out what that is…
The Solution — Put a Robot in the Middle!
Not just any robot, but one that lives on our phones and is adept at delivering the messages and reminders each of us wants to receive from our significant others, family, co-workers, bosses, etc., and sends the messages we need those people to hear.
This is Why We’re Building the Goalkeeper Family of Bots.
Starting with the Happy Couples Bot.
And with many more to come…
